About the event
Expanding on her book, All Dolled Up, L. Delaney`s light-hearted 3.5 hour class will have students crafting scraps into miniature high fashion. Students will look to the pages of fashion history for inspiration and examine real vintage clothing and fabrics to understand how they drape and sparkle (primarily focusing on fashion of the 1920s-1950s). The Crowne Plaza will bloom into a colorful miniature runway of sculpted vellum paper frocks and accessories! Coursework includes a finished vintage gown, pair of heels, and a shopping spree`s worth of bags and shoeboxes. Homework for completing four more gowns and ideas for designing your own will be included in the colorful coursepack. Please note that these fashions are not wearable and intended for display only. Each student will leave the class with their own autographed copy of All Dolled Up!
